Culver Parents Association

Welcome to the CPA

 Fall Campus
My husband, Tyler, and I would like to welcome you to the Culver Parents Association. Each and every Culver parent is a member of the CPA, and we truly consider ourselves ONE Culver!

The Culver Parents Association, established in October 1983, is an amalgamation of the Culver Fathers Association (est. June 1935) and the Culver Mothers Association (est. May 1959). The Association is governed by a board made up of up to 42 current families, the chair of which alternates between a mother and father of a current Culver student. A general meeting for the Parents Association is held during Fall Parents Weekend and again during Spring Parents Weekend. The CPA is focused on working in effective partnership with the administration and accomplishes this by providing key feedback from the parent constituency as well as providing the administration with connections in the community, helping hands with big events and, very importantly, fund raising for the Culver Fund, Culver’s Annual Fund.

The CPA consists of five standing committees:

  • Admissions, which coordinates volunteers to assist at registrations and CMA/CGA new parent orientations, assists the Admissions office in outreach to prospective Culver families, and encourages current and prospective families alike to attend Culver Club regional events;
  • Development, which coordinates all forms of fundraising as it pertains to parents, including the annual Culver Fund campaign and securing sponsorships for special events;
  • Marketing and Communications, which produces the monthly electronic Academy Road newsletters, monitors and updates content on the Parent Portal pages of the Culver website and Culver Parent Facebook page, and orchestrates other communications between the school and parents;
  • Special Events, which supports all parent-sponsored events, including the biennial fall auction, annual spring online auction, golf outings, and receptions at Fall and Final Balls.
  • Student Life/Parent Services, which works in partnership with Culver’s Student Life team to create a positive experience for parents and students alike by welcoming new families and assisting counselors with planning for special dorm and unit events.

We are committed to share with you our Culver experience, and encourage you to become as active as you feel comfortable. There is a need for your help and knowledge in all areas of our Association.

Through the Academy Road e-newsletter, and frequent contacts from our Unit and Dorm Parent Representatives, we hope to keep you informed of Culver activities throughout the year.

It is our sincere hope you and your family have a great year, and please reach out to if you have any concerns, questions or needs.

Most sincerely,

Jana Baldwin
